A Fickle Story About My Hatred Of Winter Boots 

Wonderful Warm Boots For The Wintertime

Have you ever owned a pair of shoes you’re so in love with that you want to wear them even when they’re completely inappropriate footwear for the season?

That is the dilemma I suffer all summer long when it’s too hot outside to wear my cute winter boots and I have to tuck them away in the closet until the weather gets cold enough again.

Should I Wear My Winter Boots To Work?

My winter boots are tan and chunky with huge treaded soles that make them look like work boots.

No matter how deep the puddle, if I am wearing my special winter boots with the huge soles, I can walk right through and my feet stay completely dry, as though I have the ability to walk on water.

I can add two whole inches to my height just by wearing my winter boots.

And aside from keeping my feet warm and dry, they’re attractive and look cute when worn with a pair of jeans.

I’m sometimes tempted to wear my winter boots in the summer when it’s raining even though I know that by the end of the day my feet will be miserable and hot and I will want to take my boots off and burn them.

But for those first few hours after I put them on I know that my feet will be happy, and I will be happy when I look down and see them at the bottom of my jeans. I have a similar desire to wear inappropriate footwear in the winter as well.

Love Turns To Hate

Suddenly I don’t care so much about my boots and all I want in the world is to be able to wear sandals again. I especially adore flip flops because it’s like walking around barefoot and if there’s anything I love more than actually walking around in my bare feet it is the feeling that I am walking around in bare feet covered only by flip flops.

Am I Fickle? Now I Love My Winter Boots Again!

Before last winter I had never owned a pair of winter boots that I liked to wear. My boots were purely functional and I owned them only for emergency situations where I would have to walk through and stand in snow up to my calf just to clear my car off so I could get it out of the driveway.

Now that I have fashionable winter boots, I look forward to snow because I know it means a chance to wear my boots again. Mud puddles beware!!
